Cisser Mæhl is a Danish songwriter, composer and music producer based in Oslo.
Her music moves between champer pop, experimental folk and contemporary lo-fi music, combining close-mic vocals, danish lyrics, strings, subtle electronics and noizy rhythms.
Her sound worlds are intimate and tactile. Both carefully crafted, as well as raw and homemade.

Her debut album Innemuseum (2023) was released by Berlin based label Sonic Pieces.
The music grew out of field recordings made while working at a mountain lodge in Norway, where sounds of rivers, stones, plants and birds became part of the sound. Her second album, Familiens muligheder (2025), sets music to texts by Danish author Ida Marie Hede exploring themes like motherhood, grief and love. Cisser Mæhl’s third album Mellem hænder is to be released in January 2027.
Alongside her solo work, Cisser Mæhl composes music for films, video games, theater, and other interdisciplinary projects.
